    In the book "Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma", we read that a saint is " a member of the Church [who] has been assumed into eternal bliss and may be the object of general veneration." A saint is also a person of remarkable holiness who lived a life of heroic virtue, assisted by the Church, during their pilgrimage on earth.   From women who survived ocean voyages and those who persevered in handcart companies to women whose families were called to settle in frontier areas outside of Utah and who kept the faith after being widowed or the death of their children, the stories of 18 women who were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and were born.
